It’s a 7c plus 7% per-toll fee—e.g., 17 cents on a $1.50 toll, a common toll price in many areas.  Tolls vary from $0.50 to $100+, and this keeps us running everywhere. No hidden fees—we’re making online reloads free.

We want tolls fair for all, whether a customer reloads $10 at a time or $100.

Pay $2 reload fee to the retailer, get $1 of the reload fee deposited in your account—better than the old $2 fee on top.

That depends on how much you used to reload and the cost of your current tolls.

Here’s a quick comparison of the new fee structure on a $1.50 toll:

• $10 (+$2 reload fee): Cost of $1.50 toll was $1.80
• $20: (+$2 reload fee): Cost of $1.50 toll was $1.65
• $30: (+$2 reload fee): Cost of $1.50 toll was $1.60

With the new Free Online Reloads a $1.50 toll costs $1.68, whether you reload $5 or $105.

Here’s another example using a higher priced toll of $12.00:
• $10: (+$2 reload fee) Cost of $12 toll is $14.40
• $20: (+$2 reload fee) Cost of $12 toll is $13.20
• $30: (+$2 reload fee) Cost of $12 toll is $12.80/toll

Online and in-app reloads are free now, so there’s no fee to cut. Auto-Reload is now more flexible, allowing you to reload $5-$500 using the BancPass app. Setting up Auto-Reload ensures that your account stays active to avoid toll authority invoices and fees.

Costs are up since 2014 when the $2 Reload Fee was set. A small raise in our prices lets us keep providing great service and doing business while saving some customers money—yes, it’s a bit more complicated—but we believe this model is the best solution for keeping reload fees fair, while supporting our valued retail partners so you can still reload at stores nationwide.
